Ingredients
For the Brownies
- ¾ cup butter, melted
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Halifax Stingin' Hot Honey - Cocoa Edition
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
For the Cocoa Hot Honey Frosting
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup icing sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Drizzle of Halifax Stingin' Hot Honey - Cocoa Edition
For the Brownies
- ¾ cup butter, melted
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Halifax Stingin' Hot Honey - Cocoa Edition

- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
For the Cocoa Hot Honey Frosting
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup icing sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Drizzle of Halifax Stingin' Hot Honey - Cocoa Edition
Method
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch or 8x10-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, Cocoa Stingin' Hot Honey, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until evenly distributed.
Step 4
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms.
Step 5
Fold in the pecans until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Step 6
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Step 7
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the surface is set and the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Step 8
Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 9
While the brownies cool, prepare the frosting by creaming together the butter, icing sugar, cocoa powder, and a drizzle of Cocoa Stingin' Hot Honey until light and smooth.

Once cooled, carefully cut the brownie sheet in half.

Spread an even layer of frosting over one half of the brownie sheet.
Step 12
Place the second brownie layer on top and gently press down.

Cut into bars or squares and serve.
