Ingredients
- 1 brick of extra firm tofu
- Salt
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ¼ cup Halifax Stingin’ Hotter Honey Red Lava Edition

Method
Step 1
Slice the tofu into slabs or cubes and lightly season with salt. Set aside.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the peanut butter and water until smooth and creamy.
Step 3
Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and Halifax Hot Honey Red Lava Edition. Whisk until the marinade is fully combined.
Step 4
Pour the marinade over the tofu, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated.
Step 5
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For maximum flavour, marinate for up to 24 hours.
Step 6
To grill, cook the tofu over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side until lightly charred and heated through.
Step 7
To roast, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the tofu on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast for 12–15 minutes.
Step 8
For extra flavour, brush additional marinade over the tofu while it cooks.
Step 9
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with sliced chilies and green onions before serving.
