    Method

    For the Slaw

    1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, salt, Halifax Stingin' Hot Chili Garlic Sauce , rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
    2. Using clean hands or tongs, thoroughly mix and massage the cabbage for 2–3 minutes until it begins to soften and absorb the dressing.
    3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavours to develop.

    For the Shrimp

    1. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, Stingin' Hot Chili Garlic Sauce, smoked paprika, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
    2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    3. Add the shrimp and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently to ensure even cooking.
    4. If the pan becomes dry, add a small splash of water to deglaze and prevent sticking.
    5. Once the shrimp are fully cooked and opaque, add the cold butter to the pan.
    6. Swirl the pan gently until the butter has completely melted and created a glossy sauce that coats the shrimp.
    7. Remove the shrimp from the heat immediately.

    Assembly

    1. Arrange the chilled slaw on a serving platter or divide among individual plates.
    2. Top with the warm shrimp and spoon any remaining butter sauce over the top.
    3. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice, if desired.
    4. Serve immediately and enjoy.
