Method

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Halifax Honey Stingin' Hot Chili Garlic Sauce. Add the sliced chicken breasts and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to marinate.

Step 3

Spread the panko breadcrumbs and chopped chives onto a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 2–5 minutes, stirring once, until lightly golden and fragrant. Remove and allow to cool slightly.

Step 4

Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Coat each piece thoroughly in the toasted panko mixture.

Step 5

Arrange the breaded chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.

Step 6

Serve hot over toasted Jacquet Belgian Waffles and finish with a drizzle of Halifax Honey for the perfect sweet-and-spicy chicken and waffles experience.
