2Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
- Jacquet Belgian Waffles, for serving
Chicken Marinade
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Halifax Honey Stingin' Hot Chili Garlic Sauce
-
3Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Halifax Honey Stingin' Hot Chili Garlic Sauce . Add the sliced chicken breasts and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to marinate.
- Spread the panko breadcrumbs and chopped chives onto a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 2–5 minutes, stirring once, until lightly golden and fragrant. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Coat each piece thoroughly in the toasted panko mixture.
- Arrange the breaded chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- Serve hot over toasted Jacquet Belgian Waffles and finish with a drizzle of Halifax Hot Honey for the perfect sweet-and-spicy chicken and waffles experience.
