    Method

    For the Donuts

    1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Lightly grease a donut pan and set aside.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all of the dry ingredients until well combined.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth and just combined. Avoid overmixing.
    4. Transfer the batter to the prepared donut pan, filling each mold approximately halfway. You can use a spoon, piping bag, or a resealable plastic bag with the corner snipped off for easy filling.
    5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    6. Remove from the oven and allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 1 minute. Carefully transfer them to a wire rack and let cool for an additional 5 minutes before glazing.
    7. If you don't have a donut pan, use a lined muffin tin instead. Follow the same instructions and increase the baking time by 8–12 minutes, or until fully baked.

    Caramel Glaze

    1. Combine all glaze ingredients in a medium saucepan. Whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
    2. Place over medium-low heat and cook for approximately 2 minutes, whisking continuously, until the sugar has completely dissolved and the glaze is silky smooth.
    3. Remove from the heat and allow the glaze to cool for 1–2 minutes.
    4. Dip the tops of the slightly cooled donuts into the warm glaze, then place them glaze-side up on a wire rack. Allow any excess glaze to drip off before serving.
    5. If the glaze thickens while decorating, return it to low heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute, whisking until it becomes smooth and pourable again.
