Ingredients
- Chickpeas (1 can-540mL)
- Tahini (Ground Sesame Paste) (7 tbsp)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (8 tbsp)
- Lemon Juice (8 tbsp)
- Salt (to taste)
- Garlic (6 Cloves)
- Onion (1/3 a medium size)
- Stingin’ Hot Chili Garlic Sauce (1-2 tsp depending on desired level of heat)
- Chickpeas (1 can-540mL)
- Tahini (Ground Sesame Paste) (7 tbsp)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (8 tbsp)
- Lemon Juice (8 tbsp)
- Salt (to taste)
- Garlic (6 Cloves)
- Onion (1/3 a medium size)
- Stingin’ Hot Chili Garlic Sauce (1-2 tsp depending on desired level of heat)
Method
Step 1
Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt to a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
Step 2
With the processor running, slowly add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the hummus reaches a light, creamy consistency.
Step 3
Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional lemon juice or salt if desired. Blend again until fully incorporated
Step 4
Spread the hummus into a shallow serving bowl, creating swirls with the back of a spoon.
Step 5
Drizzle generously with Halifax Honey Hot Honey and a touch of olive oil. Garnish with chili flakes, chopped parsley, toasted sesame seeds, or whole chickpeas.
Step 6
Serve immediately with warm pita, fresh vegetables, crackers, or as part of a charcuterie board.
